Sunday Services Holy Communion

There are no services in the church at St Michael's until further notice.
We invite you to
join our online ZOOM worship (see our newsletter for more details) or visit the Church of England website to share in live worship.

Our normal pattern of Sunday services is -

8.00am - Holy Communion - a quieter Communion service, using modern language, with a short sermon but no hymns or music.

10.00am - Parish Communion (except first Sunday in the month) - this is our main service, using modern language, with hymns and a sermon, and with a creche.   Junior Church sessions are run during term time.  The Choir sings at this service except on the third Sunday in the month.

10.00am - Parish Praise (first Sunday in the month) - an informal all-age service, with no communion, and with a short talk or audiovisual presentation instead of a sermon, and especially suited to children and visitors.

11.15am - Sung Eucharist (Communion) (first Sunday only) - a traditional sung service using the old language of the Book of Common Prayer, and with the Choir and a short sermon.

6.00pm - Evensong - on the third Sunday, this is a traditional sung evening service with the Choir and a sermon, on the second and fourth Sundays, it is a said service.  There is no Evensong on the first Sunday, or on the fifth Sunday (when there is joint service of Evensong held elsewhere in the Deanery).
