Charity Registration Number 1130646
It costs approximately £500 a day to maintain the work of St Michael’s. This includes the upkeep of the Grade One listed building and the expenses of running the ministry and outreach of the church. There are no funds provided from outside sources, so that we depend on the commitment and generosity of our members and friends to pay for the running expenses of the church.
This can be done in several ways
- By joining the Church Giving Scheme and by contributing by way of bank standing order.
- By making a donation to church funds. This can be achieved through sending us a cheque or cash, or by using the Just Giving facility on your mobile phone, by texting stmc12 £5 or £10 on 70070 (This can also be gift aided).
- By agreeing to gift aid your donation if you are a tax payer. (This allows the church to claim back an additional 25% of your donation).
- By leaving a legacy in your will.

Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer you could be eligible to add Gift Aid to your donation. For every pound you give us, we get an extra 25 pence from HM Revenue & Customs, and it doesn’t cost you any more. This means that every £100 we receive can be turned into £125 – imagine what a difference that could make!
Please use Gift Aid every time you give to St Michael’s and help us to make a difference.
